Our current exhibition Kūkulu: Santa Cruz in Solidarity with Mauna Kea @sesnonunderground features art, music, and messages from the historic stand of Kanaka Maoli (Indigenous Hawaiian) people to protect sacred Mauna Kea from the University of California-driven Thirty Meter Telescope project. It also celebrates the bonds of solidarity between Mauna Kea Kia’i (protectors) in Hawaii and Santa Cruz-based organizers over many years.
